I joined the Youth Center in October 2009. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. I currently live in Verona, WI with my husband Chris and our dog Dakota. I enjoy playing softball and watching movies. I am excited to see all the kids who come to the center, help them learn about the community, and how they can be a helpful part of it. I am committed to making the Youth Center a relaxing and enjoyable place for all middle school students to come to. I plan to implement activities and demonstrations from local businesses and groups to show the kids what is available to them in their community. Joseph joins us for the 2010-2011 school year and summer months. He comes to the Mount Horeb Youth Center with a degree in Biology-Neurobiology and Latin. He is looking to go to medical school to become a child psychiatrist. Joseph has worked with the Schools of Hope in Madison, specifically working with kindergarden students on math, science, and writing. Joseph is really excited to work with the Mount Horeb youth at the middle school to assist them with their school work, and then hang out with them in a more relaxed setting at the youth center. Joseph will be implimenting a monthly country theme where the youth will get to cook different foods and play different games all from other countries.
